FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions(FAQ)
I have water damage. What now?
Stop the water. Look for a shut-off valve on your property to stop the water from flowing in. This will help you from suffering additional water damage to your property. Once you do, call the experts at 911 Restoration of Carson City. If you can’t stop it no worries, just give us a call and go to a safe place on your property. We’ll handle it as soon as we arrive.
What do I do after water damage occurs?
The best thing you can do is try to organize the important items you have in your home or business. Think of all the valuables or essentials that are important to you. Put these things in Ziplocs or plastic bags to prevent further water damage. You can also put things like trash bags or other bags beneath furniture tables and chairs as well.
How long does water damage restoration take?
The restoration process usually varies depending on the type of job. If you have extensive water damage on your property, it may take longer compared to a minor leak. On an average job, however, it will take 3 to 4 days.
Is water damage covered under my insurance policy?
We work with all insurance companies and their property claims departments during a loss. We will help you understand your insurance policy and we will bill them directly.
What if I have a business that suffers water damage?
For most commercial insurance providers, this is covered under the business interruption policy. Coverage may vary with different insurance providers. 911 Restoration of Carson City will talk with your insurance provider to ensure that the process is handled smoothly.
